The well-known food artist and director David Ma has created this amusing series of tutorial videos imagining that famous directors like Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, Alfonso Cuarón, and Michael Bay suddenly decide to film food recipe tutorials.
An extremely attractive series of four films of 1 minute each comes out: accompanied by iconic soundtracks, the imaginary recipes flow on the screen, through sounds, colors and images in the typical aesthetic and narrative roles of each individual directors.
Quentin Tarantino’s spaghetti and meatballs with his crude and bloody style, Michel Bay’s explosive waffles in a special effects world, Wes Anderson’s s’more with his accurate aesthetics and his narrative style, the slow-motion cosmic and contemplative pancakes according to the storytelling typical of Alfonso Cuarón.
Small masterpieces we would very much like to see other episodes.
