In Torino – Italy, from 13 September till 7 January at CAMERA – Centro per la Fotografia – will be held the exhibition “Arrivano I Parazzi! Photographers and divas from La Dolce Vita to present day”.
150 images that tell the epopee of ‘stolen photography’, In Italy and around the world, that of scandals and gossips.
“These are photographs that shaped the popular perception of public personae forever: actors, singers and politicians – comments the curators Walter Guadagnini e Francesco Zanot -, women most of all. ‘Stolen’ shots of private moments, from when, once the mask of the role they play has fallen, they become (almost) ordinary people once more.”
There are Sophia Loren, Federico Fellini, Marilyn Monroe, Brigitte Bardot, Jackie Kennedy Lady D, Kate Moss and David Bowie and many others who went under the lens of paparazzi like Tazio Secchiaroli, Marcello Geppetti, Ron Galella and Lino Nanni, or photographed by contemporary artists such as Ellen von Unwerth, Alison Jackson and Armin Linke.
