“The Old New World” is a short film made by russian photographer and animator Alexey Zakharov. The artist started from old photographs found on Shorpy site, showing urban glimpses of some US cities – New York, Boston, Detroit, Washington etc …- from 1900 to 1940. With this project, only based on a photographic animation, cities come alive and, with a kind of time machine, take us back to a turn of the century daily life.
